i asked my lawyer to settle my case over 2 months ago now. the keep telling me they are waiting on something or the other. as in they tell me they only need this one thing to move on, but then something else comes up that they need. additionally, i have medical bills that i owe because neither my lawyer or doctor are willing to sign each others letter of protection. is this the way it usually goes with settlements? i have never done this before and don't know whether this is typical or not? it's not going to be any high dollar amount case, is that why my concerns aren't being addressed as quickly as I would like?
