My wife injured her hand at the nursing home she works for. They paid for her to go to the hospital and the subsequent doctor's visits until the doctor released her to go back to full duty. Now, a month later, her hand is hurting her again, and her job sent her to the doctor's office. Yet, when she got out of the office, her HR department called her and said the bill may not be covered, because they believe she originally injured it on her lunch period (she has no lunch period, and it's documented that she was assisting patients).
What should we do now? Do we need to get a lawyer?
