Healthcare was a major issue in the 2008 Presidential Election and has been a crucial aspect of both running parties campaign. The fact of the matter is that both parties believed that a new healthcare plan must be implemented so that the families of our nation are provided with sufficient healthcare. Currently there are some governmental healthcare programs that provide free healthcare, or so they say. What really goes on is that if a person needs any real form of healthcare besides a band-aid they must pay for it themselves. One hospital visit including simple x-rays can cost an individual over $500. With the high cost of medical insurance people are opting out of medical care because they simply cannot afford it. However this might not be the worst decision because people who are also paying top dollar for medical care are being commonly exposed to acts of medical malpractice in New York. The rate of medical malpractice New York has significantly increased now that doctors are taking a more defensive approach to medicine. However what they might not realize is that by taking a defensive approach to medicine they are forgoing their patients the necessary treatments that they desperately need. By doctors taking a defensive approach they are referring their patients to other costly specialists that frankly they cannot afford. Either way patients are becoming victim to medical malpractice New York far too often or something must be done about it.

Of course accidents will happen, but if they do the medical staff will tell the patient everything that happened and their plan of action to make right what they made wrong. If these actions are undertaken our healthcare program is on its way to a better tomorrow.
