New York is one of the most complicated cities I've ever seen. I don't understand that all the built up area can't be New York like the way that part of Long Island is New York city & the built up part beside New York isn't. Also how come Jersey city isn't part of New York city even though all the other built up areas excluding Newark are considered New York? I'm sorry if I got anything wrong. Thank you!
